Abstract Pioneer School, an expeditionary learning academy (now Polaris Expeditionary Learning School) embarked on an oral history project from 2005 to 2006. Noting a gap in oral histories of myriad people with connections to the Poudre River, teacher Matt Strand created an assignment for his seventh and eighth grade students to conduct oral history interviews.
